Teacher Agreement

How teaching live classes on Hariom works: prices, pay, classes and reviews.

Last updated: 3 October 2026

This agreement is for teachers who teach live online classes on Hariom Online, run by Hariom Yoga Vidya School. You accept it when you apply to teach.

1. Applying

  • Our team reviews every application by hand. We may approve or decline any application.
  • Your certificates and ID must be genuine and your own. Only our admin team can open them.
  • You teach only the subjects we approve you for, from our list of subjects.

2. Your prices

  • You propose one price per class for group classes and one for 1-on-1 classes, in US dollars. Our team approves or declines each proposal.
  • A 1-on-1 price can't be lower than your group price.
  • A class keeps the price it had when it was booked, even if your price changes later.

3. What you earn

  • You earn 60% of your approved price for each student who joins your class.
  • A student who books but doesn't join pays nothing, so that place earns nothing.
  • If you cancel a class, your students keep their credits and you earn nothing for that class.
  • If a class place is refunded to the student, we may take it out of your earnings. You'll see this on your earnings page.

4. How you're paid

  • We pay weekly. Each Monday we add up your earnings from the weeks before (weeks run Monday to Sunday, UTC). Our team checks each payout before it's sent.
  • We pay in US dollars by PayPal, or by Stripe to your bank where Stripe supports your country. You choose on your earnings page.
  • Keep your payout details correct. We email you whenever they change.
  • Earnings for classes you have already taught are paid even if you stop teaching.

5. Classes

  • You set your weekly hours in your own timezone. Students see the times in theirs.
  • Group classes are 30 to 90 minutes, for up to 12 students.
  • 1-on-1 classes are 60 minutes. You accept or decline each request. A request you don't answer lapses after 24 hours, or one hour before the class, whichever is first.
  • Classes take place in the classroom on our website, with video, chat, screen share and a whiteboard.
  • We do not record classes.

6. Reviews and ranking

  • Only students who joined one of your classes can review you. Reviews show straight away.
  • Our team can hide a review.
  • On each subject page, teachers are ordered by their student ratings. Hariom's own teachers start with a small boost, which fades as they receive reviews.

7. Keeping classes on Hariom

  • Students you meet through Hariom book and pay on Hariom. Don't offer them private classes, or take payment from them, outside Hariom.
  • Don't share or ask for phone numbers, emails, links, social media or other apps, in your profile, in class chat, or in class. Contact details are hidden on our site.
  • Students join your classes by booking a place. You can't add a student to a class for free.
  • If you break these rules, we may pause or remove your profile.

8. Changes and questions

We may update this agreement. The date at the top shows the latest version. Questions? Contact us.
